Artistic Adventures
A Year of Passion and Creativity
Shannon truly embraced her artistic journey as a proud member of the Emerging Artists Theatre Company while in Manhattan. In 2025, she had an exciting lineup of projects! She performed in “An Evening of Shakespeare” at The Actor’s Theatre in Santa Cruz, brought her creative flair to the choreography of “Cinderella” for SVPA, and took on roles in two films: “Arcadia” and the delightful “Josephine.” The icing on the cake was that “Josephine” made its debut at the prestigious 2026 Sundance Film Festival, where it won both the Audience Choice Award and Best Dramatic Film! Talk about a year full of passion and creativity!
A Music Educator’s Journey in Supporting Neurodiverse Individuals
After returning to the Santa Cruz area from New York City, Shannon began working with MusicalMe, Inc. in 2015. With over 12 years of experience as a “Music Specialist for Neurodiverse Individuals,” Shannon has made a significant impact in her field. In 2024, she was nominated and awarded the title of “Music Educator of the Year.” Shannon travels to local schools to provide hands-on music education to children and adults with special needs, serving communities from Santa Cruz to Santa Clara County.

Shannon is deeply passionate about fostering a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for both teaching and play. She believes that acceptance and inclusion are vital principles that enrich every aspect of her work and interactions. Her goal is to create a welcoming space where everyone feels valued and encouraged to participate.
